The eminent Torah leader of his time and Posek Hador
The stories about him are reminiscent of those of the Baal Shem Tov. Thousands of Jews from all backgrounds journeyed to Veitzen to seek the blessings of this Great Gaon and Tzaddik.
Even today, people who try to support this tzaddik’s Torah have reported yeshuos. His seforim are kept in homes as a segulah for blessing.
Rabbi of the city of Veitzen (Vac) in Hungary and leader of its famous Yeshiva, he was known as the Veitzen Rebbe and the Holy Masei L’Melech after his monumental two-volume commentary on Rambam. He also authored over 100 volumes of Halachic responsa and Talmudic commentaries. Sadly, those were lost during the holocaust.

Mr. Y. G. of New York, met with Rabbi Zussman shlita and explained that he was having difficulty finding a shidduch for his son. The holy work of the Tzaddik would bring about the Yeshua he desperately needed. Shortly afterward, he met Rabbi Zussman and getting a blessing. “Mazel Tov!” he smiled. “My son is engaged!”
